Vintage 1987 Lucite Acrylic Skateboard Flip-Tail Style SIMS WHEELS & RISERS
Vintage 1987 Lucite Acrylic Skateboard Flip-Tail Style With Frosted Edges. Born On February 21st 1987 & Fabricated By Myself. Was in the Fabrication Business Then and made this Little Beauty. Rode for approximately 1-Minute & 100′ to Test out, then put it in Storage for 35-Years. NO USE ON BOARD WHAT SO EVER ALL THESE YEARS, EXCEPT FOR THE 1-MINUTE TEST RUN IN 1987. AND IS IN NEW CONDITION, SO LISTED AS PRE-OWNED FOR THIS REASON ONLY! (Otherwise Deck Near Flawless). #1-On edge where my finishing wasn’t perfect in one spot about 1.5 in length. #2-On Deck by Front wheel Rt Side 1/8 scuffs x2. (Both in Photo’s and had to use an Index Card Underneath Deck to Really pick it up). Note sure why Wheels had some discoloration over the years, probably storage/age related best guess. Did a Quik wipe on those to clean up a Bit. HAS SIMS STREET WHEELS & RISERS…. Length Tip-To-Tail is 25 & 3/4 inches. Widest Point is 7-inches. Tail Width is 5-inches. Height is 4-inches & 5 1/2 inches at Tail Flip. Wheel-To-Wheel Length is 8-inches. Tracker Trucks are 6.5-inches. DECK IS 1/2 THICK. TRUCKS Modified Roller Skate trucks Heated Wheel style Polarizer Vintage
Vintage 1940′s -1970′s Modified Roller Skates converted into Skateboard trucks, these are hard to find and even harder to cutt/drill/grind to turn into skate trucks. To mount the trucks – all you have to do is put the trucks on the deck, mark where you want the holes and drill your holes, these trucks dont have standard current skate trucks base plate pattern so you have to drill you own holes on your deck to mount the trucks. These are the same type/brand of trucks that Neil Blender uses on his Heated Wheel Polarizer skateboards he makes/sells, very hard to find. A quote by the Legendary Mr Neil Blender.
