Powell Peralta Tail Plate is T-Locked on there. Graphic on top worn from space walks and walk the dog tricks. Graphics on bottom are in super good shape for its age and the fact I used it for about a year. I wanted to put it away before it got worn out. I was going to use it as a back up board but ended up just saving it. Now it’s ready for its next chapter. A must have for any collector because this is a super rare skateboard deck that not many were made. This one is more special because it was ridden by a pro skateboarder myself who now is also two time cancer survivor and founder of Grind For Life. Gen 1 Rodney Mullen Mutt in solid shape. If you’re careful, you can even remove the sticker. Hasn’t even been wiped down yet- straight out of the attic. I met Rodney in the late 80′s on Dock Street in Philadelphia on the Bones Brigade Tour. As great a guy then as he is now. Only gonna go up from here- this is “the one”. I’m very aware. Rodney Mullen is considered the best and most influential skater of all time and this is his first pro deck, which was first released in 1981! It is one of the most sought after decks around. This deck is well used! It has cracks and chips. The mutt graphic on the bottom still looks great (it has hung on my wall for the last 3 years).. It has a razored (thinned) nose on one side and a short tail due to excessive use (likely pogos) – see photo with tape measure for length. The grip tape appears newer – I did not put it on and never removed it. The deck appears as I received it – I have never attempted to do anything cosmetic to it. Please look at the photos closely. Vintage 1981 Powell Peralta Rodney Mullen : MUTT -Freestyle Skateboard Deck Blue RARE. This is a genuine ORIGINAL 1981 Powell Peralta and NOT the re-issue from 2016. This is a vintage skateboard defined as unobtainable, meaning no matter how much one is willing to spend, you simply will not find this model available anywhere on the Internet 99.99% of the time. This is one of the most sought after skateboard decks. Red was the most produced color. Blue decks are even more rare than the red decks. This is a vintage Powell Peralta deck. Please refer to the photos for the exact condition. This deck is in good condition all around. The deck is completely flat and straight without any warping. The board was used! There are no major imperfections with this skateboard whatsoever, this one is an absolute gem! There is absolutely no evidence of grip tape on the top side. The top has a BEAUTIFUL Golden Dragon Logo. Besides A small amount of blue paint missing here or there, The top side displays beautifully. The graphics on this deck are in AMAZING shape. This deck was properly stored in the same place for over 30 years. The graphics have a tiny amount of wear but very little and definitely nothing that takes away from its overall display. This deck originally had a nose & tailbone installed. There is a few stress cracks around the drill holes for nose and tail boneBut nothing major and hardly noticeable.
