1975 BAHNE complete skateboard SPECS and condition: the Real Deal (see my feedback comment at the bottom): DECK. 1975 or possibly 1976 orange Bahne fiberglass deck. 26″ long (1974 models were 24″). Serial number: 027 01379. Deck is in VG condition! Expected scuffs & scrapes, of course, and some typical “curb kissing” damage at the nose. Original Bahne trucks were removed, and deck was re-drilled for ACS-500 trucks. New “Bahne logo” cutout griptape. First generation ACS-500 trucks, in superb condition. “Figure 8″, silver baseplates (not the later black rectangle baseplates). Early edition flathead kingpins (not the later hex head kingpins). Original bushings, AND the original red pivot cups (99% of the time those wore out and got replaced by black pivot cups; not common to find ACS trucks with the original red pivot cups). All original parts (kingpins, nuts, bushing cups). Excellent condition translucent ” Ruby Red” Pipeline “Pacer” wheels. Of course loose ball bearings. I disassembled all the wheels, and cleaned & lubed the bearings and bearing runners/casings. They spin GREAT (see video). Original hardware was completely rusted out. So new mounting hardware (but original axle nuts, as stated). See my feedback: 2,953 positives, ZERO negatives. I owned & ran the skateboard company Latter-Day Skates for a decade starting in 2000. This rare Pipeline Skateboard Co Green Machine, produced in mid 1970s, is an awesome aluminum board with a small kicktail. 23.5″ long by 5.75″ wide, the kicktail is 2.62 long. Original Challenger trucks are 2 wide. Distance from outer edge to outer edge of wheels is 5.62. Early urethane wheels are 2.125″ diameter by 2″ wide. Wheels are Pipeline Pacer with loose bearings. The front truck has three original bolts and nuts (missing one). The rear truck has four matching, but not original mounting bolts / nuts. Everything else is original. Made in San Diego, CA. This early commercial skateboard caught the wave of the urethane wheel revolution, and was an early skate deck. These boards are somewhat comparable to the early Bonzai decks from the mid 1970s. A rare find – very little info is available online.

Amazing, never ridden, NOS (new old stock) vintage early 1970s fiberglass skateboard PIPELINE by Roller Sports Inc of Fla. Still has the original box. Factory mounted with virgin Roller Sports MK IV loose bearing wheels in a stunning honey amber color. Zero nose or tail damage to deck. Glossier blue bottom with graphic and grip textured matte top in a denim blue. X-Caliber trucks have some oxidizing on the bushing retainer cup. This could be cleaned up by hand or in a ultrasonic cleaner if desired. The original early Zephyr skateboards (Dogtown) had this exact setup with X-Caliber trucks and Roller Sports wheels. Also as a side note, the Roller Sports urethane actually predated the 1st Cadillac wheels, but were designated for roller skating at the time. It was upon seeing these that Frank Nasworthy got the idea to market for skateboards, thus creating the 2nd skateboard boom and changing the trajectory of the sport / hobby / lifestyle.. Original box has water staining but complete and not deteriorating. Some of the pictures have a yellow tint, but the board doesn’t have that yellowing. I love these early to mid 1970s transition decks, especially fiberglass. Probably the only example in this amazing condition out there and museum worthy. Comes from a smoke free environment. Vintage Made In The USA!
