1977, Powell/Sims Quicksilver 95kg Skateboard W/ Sims Snakes (Made For Stacy Peralta). The aluminum looks good. Some of the graphics were touched up. 6.75 x 28.5. The Powell Quicksilver skateboard has as a hard rock maple core, laminated with aluminum. The original aluminum Tracker trucks were designed by Larry Balma and the yellow polyurethane wheels were a Powell design This board has veriflex trucks that were put on to replace the trackers. George Powell and Sims designed and manufactured this board, which was used by Stacy Peralta, a pro skateboarder in 1977. The Quicksilver was the first deck Powell made and was a successful design, but the rapid changing market made it “out of style” less than a year after it was introduced. According to Powell, the quicksilver utilizes very high strength 7000 series aluminum alloy skins very low elongation, epoxied to hard maple cores to achieve the best strength to weight ratio. Vintage Powell Peralta nos beamer skateboard. This is not a reissue, nor a original. This is an artist reproduction, and very few were made. Powell did not reissue this board just to be clear. So there are not a heap of em floating around out there. It’s a rad addition to any early Powell Peralta collection.. It’s got a very small issue next to the truck hole on top end of board. Very minor, and beside that it’s flawless. No warp or delam. Has been sitting in a cool shady room in a non smoking home. I have owned this for about 5 years now.
