Double Vision S nub / Graphic #1. 1st Double Kicktail Shape Skateboard. Up for sale is one of the most important decks in skateboard history. This is of course the Vision, Double vision model skateboard deck from the early 1990s. This is the first skateboard that had both a nose and tail of symmetrical size. I just read and a few different locations most people in the skateboard industry give this vision model Credit for paving the path for the modern day, popsicle shape skateboard. The size and shape of this piece of wood literally started a revolution that has continued to this day. Although this board shows years of storage and a lot of missing graphic, it doesnt really affect this one from being a piece of any skate museum. What does matter, is the excellent overall condition of the size and shape of the wooden skateboard Deck. When displaying this board you are displaying what the original popsicle shape skateboard looked like. These are insanely rare and hard to find, very rarely do they ever come up for sale. These were manufactured when please keep her in industry was almost a thing of the past, with very few skaters left. The early 1990s killed most of the big skateboard companies simply because of lack of sales which is most likely one of the biggest reasons these are so scarce. The exterior of deck is quite dried up but structurally is in very good condition. Only a minor amount of tail/nose wear on the bottom side. Besides needing some wood moisturizer on exterior, the small graphics are dry and cracked but are still recognizable. The biggest flaw is it looks like either my brother or I took a sharpie to the black vision logo. Looks like when I was a kid I took a marker to the vision logo text. If youre looking to own a piece of skateboard history, this one definitely fits the bill. I can guarantee you will not be let down with this item. Please refer to the pictures for the exact item and its condition. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. There is an advert for Vision skateboards V6 concave came in the 1989 July issue of Thrasher. Its hard to tell from the tone of the advert in this time period whether or not they were being facetious. Its essentially the precursor to todays modern popsicle boards, only they took it a little bit further. The ad copy says its completely symmetrical and evenly balanced. How is it that Vision could have been a good three or so years ahead of the curve and still manage to disappear by the time everyone caught up? It looks like a board with two tails was the way they wanted to go, but the solution ended up being closer to two noses.
