The neon pink & blue Tony Hawk Chicken Skull deck from 1987. Although this CLASSIC has seen some rad Thrash, this deck is truely a piece of pop culture art. Even with some wear n tear this deck always overshadows any deck hanging next to it. In my opinion, the condition of this board is really perfect, you can feel the soul in this used up pop-art canvas. This 7-Ply variant has the blue dragon on the top side with somewhat new layer of pink grip tape. This wall hanger has always been a treasure in my collection. I have owned this since 2001. It has been well taken care of in smoke free household. Its actually in the exact condition I received it in back in 01 and displays just as beautifully today as 18 years ago. I cannot tell you how many comments I have received from friends and family when they see this on the wall with a few other boards. This pink and blue classic Tony Hawk skateboard is the perfect model / colorway to display on the wall with a few other decks. The colors of this one always makes the rest of your collection look that much better, brightening up the collection, filling in a few of colors you might not have otherwise. This b oard has w hite Tracker Trucks, Pink Risers, Santa Cruz Bullets Wheels , pink Rib Bones, pink Tail Bone & pink Mini-Bones. Their was formerly a pink nose bone but it unfortunately broke off at some point like most of them do. The hardware for the nosebone is still attached. One of the trucks has a part of the base broken off around 1 screw. You can see the exact condition of trucks in photos included. Around 1986/1987 Tony Hawk was an almost undefeatable vert God every skater kid idolized. Mini Bones are 3-4 long plates used like rib bones but inserted on both sides of tail. The many bones give this board a place in time/history! This baby is setup just like Hawk had his deck set; with all the plates and white trackers. The paint displays beautifully a nice metallic shine. Although there is some discoloration from its original factory color, its still has really nice vibrant pink and blue colors throughout. Deck has normal wear and tear from previous use, but nothing major. Seems like the griptape wasl replaced but never skated. The grip was not removed properly and has not yet seen any goo gone to clean the old residue off the beautiful blue dragon on the top side. The creatine seems to be slightly bubbling up as you can see in the photos. Please look at the photos or it is a condition. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me. One reason or another ever since this colorway was reisssued, these originals have been highly sought after and the value continues to increase almost every other month it seems. Its safe to say this model/ colorway has possibly the strongest price/value when it comes to a board in this type of used condition. There is one reason why… These babies are a showstopper and always display great even when they lived a lifetime of thrashin!
