1975 BAHNE complete skateboard SPECS and condition: the Real Deal (see my feedback comment at the bottom): DECK. 1975 or possibly 1976 orange Bahne fiberglass deck. 26″ long (1974 models were 24″). Serial number: 027 01379. Deck is in VG condition! Expected scuffs & scrapes, of course, and some typical “curb kissing” damage at the nose. Original Bahne trucks were removed, and deck was re-drilled for ACS-500 trucks. New “Bahne logo” cutout griptape. First generation ACS-500 trucks, in superb condition. “Figure 8″, silver baseplates (not the later black rectangle baseplates). Early edition flathead kingpins (not the later hex head kingpins). Original bushings, AND the original red pivot cups (99% of the time those wore out and got replaced by black pivot cups; not common to find ACS trucks with the original red pivot cups). All original parts (kingpins, nuts, bushing cups). Excellent condition translucent ” Ruby Red” Pipeline “Pacer” wheels. Of course loose ball bearings. I disassembled all the wheels, and cleaned & lubed the bearings and bearing runners/casings. They spin GREAT (see video). Original hardware was completely rusted out. Vintage Undrilled nose and tail – Lightly used No Grip tape – 1981 Powell Peralta Rodney Mullen Pro MUTT Skateboard Deck. Rare opportunity to own Rodney Mullen’s first-ever pro model, the 1981 Powell Peralta MUTT – a key piece of skateboarding history. Authentic Vintage Original – Not a reissue! Classic Freestyle Design. Undrilled nose and tail – no skid plates ever. Preserved in Private Collection – Well-maintained for 30+ years, making this a rare find. Top graphic in amazing shape has been wrapped and protected from moisture. Some marks from the bag it was wrapped in for 30 years. Light Scratches on tail and sides so it’s not perfectly new. Here is a rare one: G&S Gordon and Smith Stacy Peralta Warptail 2. The original version, with the original “Warp Tail” sticker (the same sticker on the solid deck version from 1976), without wheel wells, and only 27 long. Probably 1977, as later models of the same deck were 29, had the different/new Warptail logo, and then had wheel wells. But here’s what makes it special : Notice the green-to- red/orange “fade” G&S logo! In the 1980s and’90s G&S released several decks with G&S “fade” logos. But I’ve only seen one other 1970s deck with the fade, and that was like 45 years ago or something, so I don’t even remember what model it was. If anyone out there knows anything about these Warptail 2 decks with this fade G&S logo, by all means let me know! SPECS and condition: the Real Deal (see my feedback comment at the bottom): DECK. 27 version with green/red or orange? Gordon & Smith “Stacy Peralta signature” top sticker is in great condition. Bottom has noticeable water stains (see pics). Tail & nose have the classic curb slam damage. Deck is not “restored, ” but cleaned. NOTE: The griptape is original (but cleaned), except for the tail section. The griptape was completely missing near the tail. Rather than re-grip the entire deck with new griptape, I thought it better to simply replace the tail section. ACS-500 trucks w/the OG (earlier years) flathead kingpin (not the later hex-nut head kingpins). Original bushings, but not the original red pivot cups (as was usually the case, those wore out and were replaced at some point). Original bright, semi-translucent orange wheels. Loose ball bearings (cleaned & lubed) — Note that while sealed precision bearings were introduced a couple years earlier, many skateboards still came with loose ball bearings at this point. My boards in 1975-’77 still had loose ball bearings, until I got some Road Rider 4s in 1977. Super bright colored, matching the risers and colored G&S logo. 1970s orange rubber or urethane? Obviously slightly larger risers were used at some point. Black hard plastic skid plate made by Sea Breeze. Vintage from the 1980s. One of these wheels has aqua turquoise. Graphics and three have blue! These wheels are New Old Stock in Very Nice Shape! Please look carefully at the pictures.
