Vintage G&S FIBREFLEX Bowlrider Model Skateboard Deck Gordon & Smith. Here is a vintage 29 inch G&S Fibreflex Bowlrider Model Skateboard deck from the 1970s. This deck is in very good condition. However, when I originally got it, it had a couple of small dings/chips on the underside of the nose and tail. It also had some old automotive stickers on the bottom deck as well. The minor damages have been repaired and the stickers were removed. In addition, I gave the bottom deck a light sanding and refinished it with a coat of clear gloss spray lacquer and a new replacement bottom deck sticker. The top deck looked pretty good aside from some spray paint graffiti and the lack of a top deck sticker. The top deck grip was in great condition otherwise, so I decided to keep it and to scrub off as much of the spray paint as I could. I was able to get most of the paint off, and it is hard to see the spray paint remnants unless you look closely. I finished off the project by adding a replacement top deck sticker. This is now a nice looking deck. And while the sticker shadows still show, this would be a great deck for someone that wants to cover them up with their own personal favorite vintage skateboard stickers. The deck measures approximately 29 x 7.5 inches. NOTE: I have included a couple of photos of the bottom of this deck with some cool vintage skateboard stickers. These are just so you can get an idea of what it would look like with some nice proper skateboard stickers on it. That being said, if you like these, they are available. Vintage G&S FIBREFLEX Bowlrider Model Skateboard Deck Gordon & Smith. Here is a really sweet vintage 29 inch G&S Fibreflex 1. Generation Bowlrider Model Skateboard deck from the 1970s. These differ from the more recent 2. Series Bowlriders in that these are shaped basically the same as the Kicktail model, but a little thicker. Series versions, the first series Bowlriders were also available in 27 and 29 inch lengths. This deck is in very good solid condition. However there was a repair to the back edge of the tail. Bit of fiberglass splintering on the underside of the nose. The rails and tail show little to no ware. The original grip was a mess so I removed it and replaced it with new rubberized grip tape that is just the same as the old rubberized grip that G&S used back in the 1970s. The top deck and bottom deck fibreflex stickers are new replacements they did not use a Bowlrider sticker until the 2. The deck looks really nice, and it now measures approximately 28.5 x 6.5 inches.
