Vintage 1980s Skateboard Jeff Phillips Breakout Sims Tracker Krtyptonics
Rare Vintage Sims Jeff Phillips “Breakout” Complete Skateboard. This is an authentic 1985 Sims Jeff Phillips “Breakout” (version 2) pro model complete skateboard. Featuring the iconic “exploding fist” graphic by Greg Evans (often mistakenly attributed to Jim Phillips), this board is a cornerstone of mid-80s vert skating history. Deck: Vintage Sims Jeff Phillips “Breakout” V2 (Original, NOT a reissue). Graphic: Neon blue, yellow, and green “Breakout” graphic on a white dip. Trucks: Period-correct vintage trucks (please verify brand, commonly Tracker or Gullwing for this era). Wheels: Vintage wheels (likely Sims or period-correct OJ/Bullets). Extras: Period-correct CCS and skull stickers on the tail. Graphic: Vibrant colors with some typical “skated” wear. Light scratches and minor paint loss consistent with age. Deck: Solid condition with no major structural dings or delamination visible. All parts are intact; however, a missing bushing on the front truck is common for boards of this age. Missing plastic rails on board edges. Why It’s a Collector’s “Grail”. Jeff Phillips was a legendary vert skater who famously defeated Tony Hawk in 1986.

Santa Cruz Jeff Grosso early blown up graphic version. Has been well used as you can see with wear throughout bottom and top of board. Someone glued the plys back together in 2 small spots as pictured. It’s pretty straight for the amount of use. What makes this Grosso unique is it’s an early version of this graphic featuring a blown up graphic. The mass produced toy boxes had a smaller graphic. There is only a few of these early versions known to exist in this color way as well. I wish I didn’t have to sell but hope someone enjoys it.

This deck has a gorgeous patina gently revealing maroon woodgrain peeking through the original purple. There appears to be no damage to the deck incurred from any rail slides. There are mild scratches on the rails themselves. There is very mild wear on the tail indicating minimal original use. This deck has an antique classic look with very minimal use blemishes.
