Vintage (from probably 1970s). G&S Gordon & Smith. FibreFlex Team Rider Model. Road Rider 4 wheels. Power Pivot tail bone. There is a small hole. In the center of the deck!! This item is dusty : from being on display for many years. In 2002, we spun off Captive Sports, as the skateboard portion of our business later became to be known. For nearly 34 years, Captive Sports has been Michigan’s leader in selection for skateboards and skate related accessories. This deck was part of our “museum” display for nearly that entire time. Up for sale is a vintage G&S Fibreflex Skateboard ACS 650 Trucks Road Rider 4 Wheels Please see and scan all photos for condition details Deck measure approximately 25.75″ long and 6.375″ at its’ widest. Wheels measure approximately 2.25″ tall and 1.75″ wide. The bearings are mixed, can’t make out what the inside bearings are but the ones facing the outside are marked: 2x NTN, 1 Sims Racing and 1 Nachi. The measurement from one outside edge of one wheel to the opposite side edge (same truck) is approximately 7.5. Wheels move freely but bearings need a good cleaning and lubrication as each wheel has a different degree of spin when flicking around with hand. One only rotates at most 1-2 rotations As seen in photos, the griptape has lifted around the edges and is torn. Griptape has marks, dirt etc embeded. Fibreflex logo sticker is heavily worn. Lots of scratches on both sides of the deck The ACS 650 trucks have lost some of their orange tinted clear coating. Areas of the existing orange coating are lose and have lifted. The truck-to-deck hardware has lost its’ ability to fully tighten, some of the screws probaby have bad threads. (The trucks are tighten to deck good but I noticed that when trying to tighten them a little bit further the nut will slip on the thread eventually) Grip tape residue and dirt mixture underneath where the griptape has lifted. G&S, Powerflex, Tracker, and ALVA stickers on bottom of deck. Please see images for current condition. The wheels are scratched and dirty, with one having a foreign object imbedded in it. The decals are peeling, the griptape has seen a lot of love, and the whole piece has a general sense of history and having a good time. This wasn’t just a showpiece. Someone who loved skateboards was out there shredding, and it’s got the scars (and the stickers) to show for it.
Up for sale is a stunning set of NOS 1970s era Power Paw skateboard wheels in the most popular and highly sought after translucent red version. These are also the preferred larger size wheels, measuring about 63mm tall and 55mm wide. Have had bearings in them (not included) and have been set up on a display deck, but never ridden! 1970s Gordon & Smith FibreFlex Double Cutaway Slalom Skateboard, ACS 580 Trucks. It is about 25.75 inches long. It is about 6.5 inches wide measured at its widest part. Used condition with signs of wear. The label is worn off. Has scratches, dents, abrasions, etc. Has some damage to the edges, nose and tail, etc. Has wear to the wheels, especially one of the wheels – you can see see this in picture # 12.
