Vintage Variflex of California 80s Skateboard Complete 1987 Amazon Variflex XP. Hard to believe but this is a beautiful VARIFLEX OF CALIFORNIA Variflex XP “Amazon” skateboard that never really seemed to have made it to the streets, bowls or pools as the wear is very minor! Vintage, lightly used original Variflex from 1987 in excellent condition for what it is. The actual board looks to have never really been ridden outside as indicated by the lack of actual asphalt wear on the trucks and rails, no significant grinding on the truck or truck covers (some scuffing but no real ground in wear – if it was taken out on the streets, it was done maybe once judging by the lack of real street wear on this), just great shape. Does have shelf wear, nicks, scrapes, paint transfer from rubbing against other boards and scuffs here and there. Some scraping/scuffing on the actual Amazon graphic. Wheels look like they may have seen asphalt OR they could be worn from just being ridden around the store (we did that back in the day) or in the warehouse it was taken from. The nose guard, truck guards, rails and tail guard have been slightly and lightly grinded on a tad somehow (probably from rubbing against other boards or from being ridden in the store or tested – see pics). Scuffing along the edges and some chips out of the paint here and there. Tail guard has been lightly grinded down slightly which also could have been done in the store or warehouse or could have possibly been a customer return (which would mean it may have been used on the street, but most likely not for long, again, judging by the lack of true street wear). Since the skateboard is close to 35 years old at this point, its safe to say probably needs new bushings for the trucks and bearings. Grip tape has a few nicks and a couple warped spots. Deck is lightly concave. The deck is approximately 30″ long, 10.3″ wide at its widest point and the tail is approximately 9 wide. White deck with black Variflex Pro Rage wheels. Trucks are approximately just over 8.75 across (was hard to get an exact measurement due to the wheels blocking view). Has nose guard, tail guard, truck guards and rails. ZOOM IN ON THE PICS!!
