One of the hardest Shortys Chad Muska models to findThis 2001 deck is quite possibly a one-of-a-kind deck, brand new still in original shrink wrap. This vintage 2001 Shortys skateboard deck is in New old stock condition. This deck is 100% original and not any type of re-issue. This 20 year old skateboard deck is still sealed in its original factory shrink wrap. There is no warping or any damage whatsoever. This is a real treasure I wouldnt doubt its the only one of these still out there in existence still in Shrinkwrap. If there is another one out there in new condition, I certainly have not seen it! When it comes to Skateboard collecting, the like this are similar to a piece of fine art They always continue increasing in value year after yea. Chad Muska defined a generational skateboarding to many many people mthis skateboard decks are amongst the most valuable out there from any generation. To be honest with you, I think this deck is worth more than my the asking price. Because of how rare these original decks are, this piece of history is more valuable than gold. There is absolutely no supply available of these original decks in new condition. Wall Street could crash tomorrow and this deck would still continue increasing in value… If you collect high quality skateboard decks from the late 1990s/early 2000s you know how hard it is to find any of these original Decks still in new condition. Like mentioned, this new deck is still inside factory shrinkwrap. This is the original shrink wrap the plastic is clean without any resl tears. There is a small hole in the factory shrink wrap on the top side of nose but as you can see from the pictures, it most likely left the factory this way in 2001. The small hole is not a tear, its just the way the plastic was manufactured onto deck. Both the top and bottom sides are completely clean. I can only find one scuff mark on the entire deck… Right below the bottom track you can see the minor scuff mark. Please refer to the last photo to see a close-up of the small scuff. Shortys used the thick eggshell white style of paint that tends to crackle when used In the very small imperfection you can see that type of paint. This deck was found in old inventory of a skate shop about 10 years ago It was kept in storage which is why it remained completely clean without any damage or discoloration. The skateboard deck literally looks as if it was just made yesterday. You couldnt ask for a better example than this one. Back in 2001, Shortys Took over the skateboarding world. It was around 2001 to 2003 skateboarding exploded again. The Shorty Skateboard tea, their videos and Skate style changed The industry. You could even say the Shortys Skateboard team created a culture within itself that expanded outside of skateboarding. They created the hip-hop era skateboarding The clothes, shoes turned into a main stream style that really helped boost the Skateboard industry. This is one of the most scarce and hard to find Shortys Skateboard models made during the companys glory days. If I remember correctly this Chad Muska team deck was released and in the CCS catalog back when they were doing a 2001 summer tour. Shortys manufactured this same graphic for five of their most well-known team members. All 5 decks look the same but have the last name of each skater on the bottom.
