Vintage Christian Hosoi hammerhead Tribute Skateboard Deck
Vintage NOS Christian Hosoi ” Hosoi Skates” Hammerhead skateboard tribute deck. The explanation for these ” vintage tribute” decks from experts in this field is that these decks were originally made by a Canadian deck maker Wee Willi Winkels back in the 80′s (Winkels produced decks for Hosoi, Kasai, Sims among others at that time) but for some reason were not painted and silk screened then and were leftover at the now defunct factory for many years. So, the decks are vintage 80′s original wood Hosoi decks, but with newer paint and screens to make them more like tribute decks. Deck has been stored in plastic bag, but has marks, scuffs, minor delamination, some cracked print, runs etc. Deck does not appear to have any major defects. He got the deck a few years back as a placeholder and still haven’t found one, at least not under 20k. This is now a piece of history and anyone can tell it’s not authentic it’s a well made vinyl wrap. I’m in no way trying to see anyone else get taken at of but this is a killer tribute deck for any collector. What you see is exactly what you will receive & we aim to please.
